But if you are a college student, you will be coming home (or at least on your winter break) in the next few weeks. And, as the proverb above indicates, you are well on your journey as you work diligently on your degree. But dont worry, the journey doesnt end when you finish school. On the contrary, college graduation is just the beginning. Back to the Holidays. Whether you are a Freshman or a Senior, you should already be working on your job search strategy. The search engine will return a list of your internships based on the criteria you enter. There are additional links for advice and job search as well. FOR STUDENTS INTERNSHIP SEARCH Another Internship resource site, there are thousands of internships to choose from. You can search paid internships, Fall Internships and Entry Level internships. Center page is a listing of hot internships with a search bar at the top left hand side of the page. In addition to this, the page is filled with additional links that will help you with your search. Career Choices Career Briefs So what do you want to be when you grow up? This from, by About.com, provides a comprehensive list of career choices (even a wedding consultant). Click on any career type and you will be linked to a full page on the career. There are additional related links at the bottom of the page. Complete List of Careers -Another list, similar to the one listed above with even more choices (and full pages on each). Check out the one for Knitters (and of course, Yard Officials). But, kidding aside, this site is worth checking out if you have no clue what you want to do. Career Key What about tests to help you determine what best suits you? This site has that! Tests on your personality, Career Options and more. Learn more about the jobs that interest you. The page is filled with helpful links to help you narrow your choices. The Best Sites / Where to Look Top Entry Level Employers This amazing page, provided by collegegrad.com, lists the best entry level employers. The list is very comprehensive, with the ability to sort by several categories (like projected number of entry level hires). Click on any employer to see a full page with stats on that employer. On the employer page there are links to that companys career page. Top Entry Level Job Sites About.coms list of entry level sites. Each link on this list leads to a site that has comprehensive focused information. Plenty of links with tons of information (advice and more). Certainly worth a look. Student Jobs Simply Hired This is a targeted search, using Simply Hireds search engine. This particular search is for any job that has the word student in it, but you can easily change this to College Grad or something similar to get results.
